Eighty Thousand.

That’s how many words I’ve written so far.

To put it in perspective the first Harry Potter book has 76,944 words.

Now I’m not sharing to boast, but rather to encourage you.

You see, I was inspired to start writing this blog because I listened to tiny whispers from clients and friends. And the whispers grew louder until I could no longer ignore them.

Ultimately I had to ask myself the question.

Why aren’t I writing?

What am I afraid of?

And I learned that the things I was afraid of didn’t happen.

I didn’t get booed or ostracized from my community.

Nobody laughed and if they did, I didn’t hear them.

In fact just the opposite happened.

People asked for more.

Then someone suggested I take a selection of posts and put them in a book.

So I did.

I had the same fears.

What if they laugh?

What if it’s terrible?

What do I know about books?

But I did it anyway.

And the books began to sell.

And then recently organizations bought multiple copies of my book and asked me to speak to their members.

And then…

Well, I have no idea what will happen next.

And neither do you.

So, now I want to inspire you.

Consider this your whisper.

Start now.

Not for fame or fortune, but for you.

Begin to write the play, poem or story that’s buried in you.

Begin to dance, draw, or design and bring your ideas to life.

If you really don’t have the any of these pursuits in you, then begin to write your life story.

Leave your mark, your history, your legacy.

One word, one line, one sentence at a time.

Here’s a link to a document with some questions to help you get started.

And lastly thank you for your support.

Because of you hundreds of people read this blog three times a week and my book currently resides in the homes of people in four countries that I know of.

So please continue to share my blog with your family and friends to help me reach more people, and also let me know how I can help you get started.

Intentionally,

Raj
